Guests at Fendalton House stay in a real New Zealand family home, which is still full of family photos and memorabilia. My children have left home now, and have children of their own. But the house retains the character of the family home it was for so many years. Our family cat still comes in to play with guests!

Fendalton House offers high quality Bed and Breakfast accommodation. Each room is attractively and comfortably appointed and has its own private bathroom. Many extra touches are provided, including port and sherry in your room, toiletries, tea and coffee, towelling robes, and so forth.

A sumptuous breakfast is provided to cater for all tastes. I include a hot breakfast to order, fresh croissants, fresh and cooked fruit, homemade jams, etc.

Feel free to use the swimming pool and spa (jacuzzi), or sit in the sunny conservatory under the grapevines.

Perhaps most importantly of all, I offer you the freedom to come and go as you will, use the house freely, socialise with other guests or with me, or simply keep to yourselves. I strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible, whilst respecting guests' desire for peace and quiet.

Use Fendalton House as a base for your Christchurch holiday. Many enjoyable activities are within easy reach, including ballooning, whale watching, the Christchurch Gondola, many restaurants and cafés, wine-tasting at some of New Zealand's quality vineyards and many other wonderful experiences.
